Mental health is an important factor of overall health and well being. At Roses Life Women Center, we fully understand that healing from trauma, emotional health and building resilience are foundational parts of a thriving life. 

Why Mental Health Support is Important 

Women’s lives are formed by many factors throughout life; their relationships, work, caregiving, social expectations and the experiences of discrimination or violence. Mental health support helps women navigate:

  • Grief and loss.
  • Emotional pain and past or present traumas. 
  • Recovery from gender based violence or abuse. 
  • Stress, anxiety or burnout. 

All of our services are guided by trauma informed care and we honour every woman’s unique cultural and lived experiences. 

What We Offer Our Community 

We offer some support that is offered by licensed clinicians and professionals through partnerships. Our center provides a welcoming and safe environment for women to start their healing journey. Our mental health programs include:

  • Culturally sensitive referrals to professional services.
  • Emotional support and storytelling circles.

We host several events like our Healing and Talking Circles that encourage women to connect, share and find strength together while building a supportive sisterhood. These events are vital for reducing isolation and building strength in the community.

The stigmas around mental health can prevent women from seeking the help and support that they need. At Roses Life Women Center, we prioritize:
